Sigma assists colleges for environmental, health and safety

wisconsin

The Sigma Group has assisted 16 Wisconsin Independent Association of Colleges and Universities (WAICU) member institutions with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) assessments for their campuses. The assessments ranged from one to four days of on-site inspection and utilized peer auditors from other member institutions who were trained by Sigma. Sigma was the lead auditor for each of the more than 20 audits that have been conducted.

Compliance Assessment Protocol

Sigma worked with a WAICU task force to investigate and evaluate various hardware and software tools to conduct EHS compliance evaluations. Tablets and a compliance assessment application were chosen to document and provide assessment summaries.

During the individual audits, Sigma reviewed EHS programs and compliance records and assisted the peer auditors with inspecting pre-selected rooms/ spaces on campus. Sigma then prepared an audit report for each institution which summarized the compliance findings and associated recommendations. Environmental findings were prioritized in order to assist the schools with implementing corrective actions.
