Meer Receives 2008 Noble Award

Sigma Employee Awarded J. James R. Croes Medal

Sigma is pleased to announce that employee Steven R. Meer, PE, has been selected by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) as the 2008 recipient of the J. James Croes Medal.

This prestigious award, presented since 1912, recognizes Mr. Meer’s contribution to engineering science by coauthoring the paper “Hydraulic Conductivity of Geosynthetic Clay Liners Exhumed from landfill Final Covers,” published in the Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering, May 2007. Mr. Meer will accept the award, which consists of a certificate and medal, during ASCE’s Annual Business Meeting on November 8, 2008, in Pittsburgh, PA.
