Sigma uses our own X-Ray Fluorescence Analyzer (XRF) with trained and certified technicians to detect minute levels of lead or other metals in painted surfaces, in real time. We also submit paint chip samples at a Wisconsin Certified Laboratory, for analysis as appropriate.

Paints including safety and bright colors, and older vintage paints may contain lead and other toxic metals. Crumbling paint is a health hazard for small children.

Lead Health Risks – The EPA and agencies such as HUD regulate lead because inhalation and ingestion is hazardous to humans, particularly developing children. OSHA regulates lead due to worker exposure during deconstruction of older buildings where cutting and sawing can result in airborne lead dust.
Other Asbestos Management Needs
Combine lead inspection services with Asbestos Inspection, Indoor Air Quality, Pre-Demolition Hazardous Material Inspection, or Pre-Purchase Diligence to satisfy your project requirements.
