First Park Menomonee Falls involved the development of an unimproved site of 54 acres. Design plans prepared by The Sigma Group called for street improvements including two cul-de-sac dead ends connecting to El Camino and Vista to the south in the newly rezoned residential area including roadways, public utilities and stormwater management improvements.

Construction Management
Sigma served the Village of Menomonee Falls as the construction engineer to coordinate and inspect installation of public roads and utilities as part of the development. The utilities included storm sewers and catch basins, sanitary sewer mains and service connections, water mains, hydrants and service connections.
Civil / Site Engineering
Prepared overall site planning and engineering involving master grading, internal access road, drainage facilities, erosion control, public and private utilities, lighting, retaining walls and landscaping.
Stormwater Management
Coordination, negotiation, alternative analysis, permit application with approval and construction coordination to meet the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) Chapter 30 permit requirements. Prepared stormwater management plan involving three wet detention ponds to control quantity and quality of discharge to Calhoun Creek, floodplain and adjacent wetlands.
Surveying and Mapping
Prepared base mapping of overall site for right-of-way dedications and utility easements. Conducted property staking and construction layout.
Wetlands and Endangered Species
Delineated wetlands based on existing mapping and field determination in agreement with WDNR and USACE. Established boundary of delineated area for endangered snake species in agreement with WDNR.
