Sigma serves downtown office and retail high-rise project
833 East Michigan is a 18-story, 350,000-square-foot office commercial and retail space high-rise along Milwaukee’s lakefront adjacent to the existing US Bank building. The multi-tenant office tower consists of five floors of parking and 13 stories of office above, including a Galleria lobby. The building is located on a site previously occupied by a parking structure, and therefore demolition of the structure and coordination with other pieces of the site was imperative.
The Sigma Group provided consulting services including civil engineering, environmental consulting and surveying. Because of the tight urban nature and surrounding buildings, diligent evaluation of the existing infrastructure and environmental issues were required to keep the project moving forward in a timely manner.
Sigma’s ability to provide consulting services helped guide the project through the initial due diligence process and we continued to provide support services through construction of this exciting downtown development. The 833 East Michigan building and site improvements were designed to directly interact with the surrounding existing buildings to provide a connected master development for Milwaukee’s thriving lakefront area.
