The 2015 Real Estate awards presentation event held at the The Pfister Hotel on April 17, 2015 provided the opportunity for Sigma and others within the Milwaukee real estate community to highlight our client’s successes. Sigma is proud to have been team members for the following recognized projects:

THE STANDARD – EAST LIBRARY
Best New Development – Residential
HSI Properties was recognized for their innovative approach to uniting diverse stakeholders, City of Milwaukee, local business, and the Milwaukee Library board members to develop an effective and unique mixed use space for both private and public entities. Sigma assisted HSI with the surveying, civil engineering, and environmental remediation and soil management required for this project.

MIAD Two50Two
Best New Development – Residential: Honorable Mention
General Capital Group was recognized for their exciting and creative MIAD dormitory space. This project located within Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward provides 75 residential units for students at MIAD and first floor retail space. Sigma assisted General Capital with construction monitoring activities.

THE MAYFAIR COLLECTION – PHASE I
Best New Development or Renovation – Retail
HSA Commercial Real Estate turned an underutilized former industrial/commercial property into a retail destination. Their development included the removal and repurposing of existing buildings and environmental remediation of this brownfield property. Sigma assisted HSA with the environmental assessment and remediation of subsurface impacts as well as the hazardous materials characterization for renovation and demolition of the existing buildings.

RICHI TEA – CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS
Best New Development – Commercial: Honorable Mention
Briohn Venture III LLC developed, on behalf of Richi Tea, a cutting edge facility within the City of Milwaukee’s Menomonee Valley. The Richi Tea headquarters is one of several successful developments within this award winning urban business park. Sigma was the engineer of record for this project providing surveying, site design and environmental services.

ASSOCIATED BANK – MILWAUKEE HAYMARKET SQUARE PARK
Best Neighborhood Impact: Honorable Mention
Associated Bank created a welcome public space within the Park East through the transformation of a large underutilized public right-of-way adjoining their newest branch development. The public space is a first within the Park East and provides a gateway to the area. Sigma has provided Associated Bank with the improvement of the area through environmental remediation of this urban space.
